MIND BODY ENERQI

About me

Hi! I’m Dr. Galya! (Pronounced like the flower, “Dahlia”, but with a “G”)

I am an earth-loving, passionate, soulful, and eccentric individual, who is thoroughly intrigued by the mechanics of the human body, and a firm believer in incorporating the mind, body, and spirit in all elements of healing. My mission is to provide a safe space for all members of the human race to feel unconditional, loving support and kindness within their healing journey. While I have done my work to receive the necessary prerequisites to facilitate professional medical care, I am a firm believer that true healing begins WITHIN.

In other words, the nature of the body is to achieve internal balance, and the only one capable of ensuring this reality, is the individual. YOU hold the power to determine the efficacy of any treatment, and it is within your innate being that true healing can be found.

In addition to individual self-awareness, it is equally vital to remember one’s place in the greater, natural world. There are many external factors which can affect one’s health, including direct environment, cycle of seasons, emotional stimulators, and food intake, to name a few. In Chinese Medicine, it is important to note all elements of one’s life which contribute causal factors to overall well-being.

Moreover, Chinese Medicine is based on the notion of preventative medicine, which implies that if working effectively, a doctor should ensure their patient never gets sick. Being that we live in a Western culture, where medicine is mostly symptom-driven, most individuals don’t visit their physician until after a disease has progressed. For this reason, it is important to note that a level of re-education is a necessary component of my treatment plan, to ensure that optimal health results are being consistently met.

Under my care, expect to be encouraged to dive deeply into your own story, find the places in need of more attention and care, and be an active participate in writing your future. I invite you to surrender all fear and doubt, in order make ample space for authentic vulnerability and truth to be fully expressed. The road to success to takes commitment, perseverance, and hard work- which I will expect.

However, I will prove how your unwavering effort will yield optimal results, and how when done effectively, your output will FAR surpass your input. I am a team-player, who believes in YOU, and your innately divine ability to heal. If given the opportunity to be a part of your healing team, I will do everything in my power to ensure you reach your ultimate potential, beginning from the inside, and expressing itself outwardly, in all areas of your life.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

— Lao Tzu, famous Chinese Philosopher.

If you wish to go fast, go alone. If you wish to go far, go together.

— African Proverb my Dad always told me.

The first step begins with you:

Make the choice to invest in yourself.

Then, let’s walk this healing journey, together.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a holistic health technique that stems from Traditional Chinese Medicine practices in which trained practitioners stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin, pore size, needles into the skin.

Herbal therapy
herbs are used both internally and externally to treat a wide range of diseases, and can be understood to include plants, animals, and minerals.  There are currently 5,767 medicinal herbs listed in the Materia Medica, and are categorized by function, area of treatment (which organs and meridians they affect), taste, temperature, flavor.

Fire Cupping
Cupping is an ancient therapeutic technique, that dates as far back as 1550 B.C. in Ancient Egypt, and can be seen in Chinese and Middle Eastern cultures as well. Cupping is an alternative and complementary technique in TCM, and is when cups are placed along the surface of the skin for several minutes in order to elicit strong suction.

Moxibustion (“Moxa”)
Moxibustion, often abbreviated as “Moxa”, is the use of burning dried Mugwort in a variety of ways to increase qi and blood flow to specific areas, acupuncture points, and meridians. The heat from the burning of the Moxa opens the pores of the body, thus giving the herb an access point into the body, to offer its benefits of stimulating qi and blood.

Reiki Energy (Pronounced “Ray-Key”)
Reiki, is a Japanese word that is often translated as “spiritually guided, universal life force energy”. “Rei” is defined as “spiritual consciousness” or “cosmic knowledge”; and “Ki” as “life force”. Reiki is a form of energy healing that involves the intentional placing of one’s hands on, or above, another’s body in order to let this universal life force energy, flow through. This energy has been described in various cultures and traditions, the Chinese refer to it as “qi/chi”, and the Indian Hindus as “Prana”.
